Pair of Postmodern Metal Café Chairs

A striking pair of late- 1980s to early 1990s postmodern café chairs. The circular base, slender rod frame and curved back bar evoke the playful architectectural language seen in Italian design-store and European contract furniture of the era, often produced for cafes, galleries and contemporary interiors. 

The newly upholstered seats introduce warmth and texture and compliments the chairs expressive geometry, leaning into the spirited postmodern character of the design. 

Distinctive and versatile, these chairs work beautifully as occasional seating, desk chairs or statement pieces within a contemporary interior.

Condition: Good vintage condition, light wear to the powder coated metal frames namely at the base of legs and back of seat. All consistent with age. Newly upholstered seats.
