Murano Satin Glass Vase, Italy 1980s

A beautifully sculptural Murano glass vase in a rich emerald satin finish. The elegant hourglass form sits lightly on three applied clear glass feet, creating a sense of lift and balance that feels playful. 

Hand-blown in Italy and finished with a soft (satinato) acid-etched surface, the glass has a velvety matte quality while still retaining the luminosity of Venetian glassmaking. 

Unmarked but consistent with Venetian studio production from the late twentieth century. A striking decorative object that works equally well styled alone or with a few simple stems.
