DINING CHAIRS ATTRIBUTED TO CAB 412 BY MARIO BELLINI (SET OF EIGHT)
Description
Australia
2000s
A set of eight dining chairs attributed to the influential CAB 412 chair, designed by Italian architect Mario Bellini. Known for their innovative construction; a leather skin stretched over a steel skeleton - the CAB series has become a cornerstone of late-20th century Italian design.
This set was originally produced in red leather and has since been professionally resprayed in a dark grey finish, resulting in a refined, contemporary palette that reads as both subtle and sophisticated. The new finish presents as smooth, even and cohesive across all eight chairs, offering a smart update while maintaining the integrity of the original form.
A full set of eight in cohesive condition and contemporary colourway is highly rare - ideal for a design forward dining setting seeking subtle impact and longevity.
Dimensions: 45W X 40D X 81H (cm) Seat Height 45 (cm)
Condition: Uniform colour and condition over the set. Great overall condition, some chairs show signs of retouching to scuffs and minor scratches showing original red colour. Please request more pictures if necessary.
